Job summary

DAI AN OCEAN SHIPPING COMPANY LIMITED is looking for a qualified professional to lead the development and management of its dry bulk business, covering import and export of coal, grain, ore and other goods.

You will craft chartering plans for Handy/Supramax and Panamax ships, review and sign contracts with shipowners or cargo owners, and work closely with various departments to execute agreements and grow market share.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience in dry bulk charter market or shipping industry.
• Strong negotiation and market analysis abilities.
• Familiarity with chartering and cargo solicitation, contracts, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage dry bulk business including import/export of coal, grain, ore and other goods.
• Formulate chartering plans for full shiploads, mainly Handy/Supramax and Panamax vessels.
• Review, negotiate and sign chartering contracts with shipowners or cargo owners, coordinating with company departments.
• Develop and maintain resources related to cargo owners, shipowners and brokers.
• Collect and analyze market information for dry bulk and general cargo shipping.

Job description

Responsible for the development and management of dry bulk business, including the import and export of coal, grain, ore, and other goods.

Responsible for formulating chartering plans for full shiploads, conducting cost accounting and feasibility analysis, mainly for Handy/Supramax and Panamax vessels.

Responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and signing chartering contracts with shipowners or cargo owners, and closely cooperating with various departments of the company to implement the contracts.

Responsible for developing and maintaining resources related to cargo owners, shipowners, and brokers.

Collecting and analyzing market information for dry bulk and general cargo shipping.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher.

Minimum 3 years of related work experience, preferably as an operator, with familiarity with the international dry bulk charter market; ability to expand the market and negotiate business, with a deep understanding of the shipping industry.

Familiar with chartering and cargo solicitation business negotiations, contract terms and execution, and operational coordination.

Familiar with shipping operations and industry practices, as well as relevant coastal maritime regulations and maritime law.

Strong communication skills, with a strong sense of customer service and teamwork.
