Job summary

Ark Eden Foundation is seeking a Director of Education to lead end-to-end environmentally themed educational programmes, camps and workshops on Lantau Island. You will plan, organise and manage delivery, assign staff, and handle logistics while upholding permaculture ethics.

The ideal candidate has education/environment experience, strong leadership, and is fluent in English, with Cantonese/Mandarin knowledge preferable.

Qualifications

Degree/diploma in education or related field with relevant experience.
Native English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin knowledge preferable.
Experience coordinating programmes for 50+ participants.
Strong computer and organisational skills.
Experience in multi-cultural settings, preferably in Asia; permaculture knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead outreach and growth initiatives with schools and community partners.
Develop and deliver education proposals aligned to learning goals.
Liaise with clients to confirm programme fit and scheduling with risk assessments.
Oversee staffing and logistics ensuring resources and budgets are met.
Manage staff, provide briefing/debriefing, and support development.
Ensure safety and programme compliance per Ark Eden standards.
Procure and maintain programme resources and supplies on site.
Delegate set-up/set-down and equipment maintenance.
Contribute to staff training and performance evaluation.
Perform other duties to support Ark Eden Foundation.
