Job summary

ESF Peak School in Hong Kong is seeking a Part Time Environment & Sustainability (E&S) Coordinator to foster environmental stewardship across the campus and support outdoor learning. The role focuses on inspiring students, guiding the Environment Group, and coordinating school-wide waste management programs, including composting and recycling, with collaboration across teachers and ESF colleagues.

The coordinator will write regular updates for the school newsletter and participate in ESF

Qualifications

Strong passion for environmental education and sustainability.
Ability to engage, motivate, and manage primary-aged children in outdoor settings.
Excellent communication skills for presenting to large audiences and writing parent communications.
Collaborative mindset to work effectively alongside teachers and ESF colleagues.

Responsibilities

Inspire a sense of wonder about the natural environment across all year groups.
Lead and mentor the student Environment Group to empower young leaders.
Plan, organise, and facilitate weekly garden sessions for Year 1 and Year 2.
Deliver assemblies to educate students on environmental issues and ESF initiatives.
Oversee school-wide waste management systems, including composting and recycling.
Write updates for the school newsletter to inform parents about sustainability efforts.
