Job summary

OOCL is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our System Team and System Development Team. You will focus on system platform, automation, and services management for enterprise apps on hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.

You will design IaC with Terraform/Ansible/Rundeck, build CI/CD pipelines, manage VMs and OS, and deploy to Azure and Alicloud. Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, and DevSecOps are core priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' DevOps/Platform Engineer experience managing infrastructure.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible/Rundeck.
• Proven CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

Job description

• You will be a core member of our System Team & System Development Team to focus in system platform & technical services management, design, development, automation and implementation to fulfill the requirements and SLA of our business critical enterprise applications running on hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures and architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and automate tasks related to virtual machines (VMs), operating systems, and patch management.
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Rundeck.
• Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable delivery of software.
• Leverage cloud-native technologies (e.g., Azure, Alicloud) to architect, deploy, and manage scalable solutions.
• Champion automation in deployment, configuration management, and system operations to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Implement and maintain effective monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale applications.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices to ensure security is embedded into every phase of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with teams on platform engineering to create reusable, scalable, and developer-friendly infrastructure.
• Explore the use of AI to enhance DevOps processes such as anomaly detection, predictive scaling, or automated troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably in information Technology or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience as DevOps, Platform Engineer or in a similar role, in managing and automating infrastructure/system services.
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Rundeck).
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience in managing and automating tasks for virtual machines (VM), operating systems and cloud platforms such as Azure and Alicloud.
• Proficiency programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy).
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and methodologies (e.g., security scanning, vulnerability assessments).
