Job summary

Steve-Leung-Designers-Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Interior Design Director to lead a soft furnishing team on high-end residential projects. You will manage concepts through completion, ensuring solutions align with briefs for both China and international markets while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.

You will present to clients, collaborate with peers, and drive creative delivery across projects with a strong eye for materials, textures, and detailing.

Qualifications

Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
8+ years of relevant experience including 3 years of management experience.
Strong presentation, leadership and communication skills.
High aesthetic sense in materials, textures, colors and detailing.

Responsibilities

Supervise the operation of a soft furnishing team.
Undertake design projects from concept to completion (mainly High-end residential).
Develop design solutions meeting client briefs for China & International markets within timelines and budget.
Brainstorm initiatives to support the team’s creative delivery.
Conduct presentations to clients.
Work with teammates to ensure quality of projects and on-time delivery.
Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.

Job description

Job Duties:

Supervise the operation of a soft furnishing (軟裝)team
Undertake design projects (mainly High-end residential) from concept to completion
Develop design solutions that meet customers’ briefs for both China & International market, as well as in line with the company objectives, within the pre-set timelines and budget
Brainstorm initiatives to support the team’s creative delivery
Conduct presentations to clients
Work closely and manage jobs with teammates to ensure the projects are well implemented and met with quality
Carry out ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Management

Requirements:

Degree in Interior Design or equivalent
Minimum 8 years relevant experience including 3 years’ management experience
High level of presentation, leadership and communication skills
Strong aesthetic sense in terms of materials, textures, colors and detailing
Passion for creative ideas and optimistic thinking
Ensure the project meet deadline and able to work under pressure
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
Proficient in AutoCAD, Illustrator & Photoshop
Willing to travel, whenever required
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Associate Design Director
