Job summary

HKEX is seeking an Associate for Derivatives Trading Operations (Mid Shift) to lead the trading of futures and options on various assets and indices. You will monitor the derivatives trading system, ensure a fair, orderly and efficient trading environment, and collaborate on strategy and project delivery.

The role requires a university degree in finance or related field and 5+ years in finance/derivatives trading. Strong communication in English and Chinese is essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in finance/derivatives trading operations.
• Strong understanding of derivatives market practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth trading operations for futures and options during the mid-evening shift.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, rules and operational procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service to Exchange Participants and stakeholders.
• Act as command centre for derivatives market operations and communication.
• Lead projects, system enhancements and market microstructure improvements.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans; develop procedures and contingencies.
• Keep abreast of global derivatives market trends and regulatory changes.
