Job summary

Bank of Communications (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager in the Asset Custody Department with a focus on digital assets and investment products. You will promote custody services to institutional clients and assist in researching fintech and digital asset opportunities.

The role requires a finance/economics/ banking-related degree with at least 2 years in custody or securities. Mandarin proficiency is mandatory, and licensing such as HKMA/SFC Type 1 or 4 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance, Economics or Banking related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in custody, securities or banking
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as assistant relationship manager
• Experience in AI and digital asset-related fields is welcomed
• Familiarity with HK financial products including private funds, stock and bonds; knowledge of CCASS, Euroclear/Clearstream, CMU, QFI, QDII and Bond Connect
• Attention to detail, independent with strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
• Willingness to learn and meet tight deadlines with accuracy
• HKMA/SFC Type 1 or Type 4 license is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Cantonese and English fluency; Mandarin required
• Immediate availability is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Promote custody services and related services to institutional and corporate clients
• Assist teams with research on fintech and digital assets
• Assist in account opening and settlement enquiries
• Manage, develop and retain quality client relationships
• Drive growth from existing and potential clients
• Identify new business opportunities and cross-sell custody services with other units
