Pay:

HK$19,981 - HK$42,259 [HGPS Point 4 - 17] per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1) Assisting Dental Officers in the treatment of patients; sterilizing and supplying dental materials; and undertaking other related duties in the control dispensaries of the dental clinics or units.
2. 2) Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Entry Requirements:

1. 1. Either one of the following qualifications or equivalent:
   • (a) Have obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Surgery Assistant issued by the Prince Philip Dental Hospital;
   • (b) Have passed the probationary examination for Dental Surgery Assistants run by Department of Health or the former Medical and Health Department.
2. 2. Completed F.5/ S.5 with:
   • (a) 5 subjects passed in HKCEE including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language, or equivalent;
   • (b) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:
     • (i) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language, and
     • (ii) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category)/ Grade E in Other Language subjects
   Or equivalent.
3. 3. Be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English
