Job summary

The Design Academics Limited is seeking a Head Chef / Sous Chef to lead a fast-paced kitchen team of five and report to the Executive Chef, ensuring top-quality food and timely service. This role covers kitchen operations, high-volume catering, supplier and cost control, hygiene, and teamwork.

English is essential; basic Cantonese is a plus. Salary HK$26,000–$32,000 monthly with 12 days annual leave; shifts 08:00–18:00 or 07:30–17:30.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong team player capable of leading a kitchen of 5 people.
• Cake/dessert/canapés making skills are advantageous.
• Good command of English; basic Cantonese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and report to the Executive Chef while managing a kitchen team of 5.
• Ensure food is prepared to the highest quality standards in a timely manner.
• Manage high-volume catering orders with strong organisational skills.
• Oversee supplier liaison to maintain quality and cost control.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards across the kitchen.
