Job description

Manage and maintain Oracle (11g, 12c, 19c+) and MS SQL Server (2016-2022) databases.

Administer databases deployed on Solaris and IBM AIX servers.

Configure and support Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and RMAN backups.

Manage SQL Server Always on Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), and native backups.

Perform basic and advanced OS-level administration tasks on Linux and AIX (shell scripting, performance checks, storage management).

Collaborate with system and storage administrators to manage LVM, SAN storage, and file systems (ASM for Oracle).

Provide 24/7 Tier-2/Tier-3 operational support for database incidents and resolve critical outages.

Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database triggers.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree: Employers require a 4-year degree in computer science, information science, or IT.

5+ years of hands on DBA experience in enterprise environments.

Deep expertise in Oracle Database administration (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM).

Strong experience in MS SQL Server administration (Always On, T-SQL, Performance Dashboard).

Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and IBM AIX operating systems.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation.
