Job summary

Zung Fu seeks a data and automation leader to drive enterprise-grade automation initiatives in a data-centric ecosystem in Hong Kong. You will guide requirements, design scalable data solutions and manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in data projects with 2+ years in leadership, strong Azure Databricks and Power BI skills, and a solid foundation in SQL/NoSQL/Python.

Qualifications

Job description

• Perform requirement gathering and validation with different user teams and obtain business endorsement.
• Lead small or large intelligent automation projects focused on assessing automation opportunities and delivering automation implementation.
• Assess automation opportunities from a functional and technical perspective and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that are efficient and scalable, and maintainable.
• Demonstrate a continual desire to implement “strategic” or “optimal” solutions and where possible, avoid workarounds or short-term tactical solutions.
• Be the data analytics focal point and manage internal stakeholders, and external vendors and partners on strategic data related projects.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that effective communication and escalation mechanisms are in place for the project implementation.
• Advance data infrastructure, technologies and tools, and partner with technological vendors to develop and ensure the readiness of our tech stack and enablers, such as Gen AI, to keep up with ever-evolving demands. Orchestrate use cases and drive adoption.
• Process and rationalize structured data and semi/unstructured data and ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into “single system” design data platform to fulfill the business and technical requirements.
• Identify the gaps between business requirement and data architecture and propose solutions to resolve or shorten the gap.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data and automation/AI technologies.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• 6+ years of data-related projects and intelligent automation experience with 2 years of management experience.
• Experience in functional analysis and requirements and process documentation, and process standardization and automation.
• Experience of Azure Databricks and Power BI is a must.
• Strong experience and knowledge in data modelling, data warehousing, database design and data management best practices, and ETL process.
• Sound knowledge in SQL, NoSQL, and Python programming languages.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, data integration and governance framework with Azure cloud technology is highly desirable.
• Experience with Gen AI technologies and Microsoft Foundry will be a plus.
• Good communication, presentation and leadership skills and stakeholder management capabilities
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
