Tenth Revolution Group is seeking an experienced Data Platform Manager/Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of a central data platform. You will shape scalable, cloud-based architectures enabling advanced analytics and business value.

Responsibilities include building robust data pipelines (batch & streaming) on Azure, defining data models, ensuring data quality and governance, and aligning data solutions with business goals. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform management, or data architecture.
• Proven track record building scalable cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies; strong communication skills.

• Lead end-to-end architecture and evolution of a scalable, secure cloud-based data platform.
• Oversee robust data pipelines (batch & streaming) using Azure technologies.
• Define high-quality data models and integration frameworks aligned with business needs.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
• Bridge business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
• Drive adoption of modern tools, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
• Mentor onshore/offshore data engineering teams and optimize performance and cost.
• Handle incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous optimization.
• Establish standards, documentation, and training to foster a data culture.

My client, an enterprise size commercial firm, is now urgently looking for an experienced Data Platform Manager/Architect to lead the design, development, and continuous evolution of central data platform. This role sits at the heart of data strategy-driving scalable architecture, enabling advanced analytics, and translating data into measurable business value.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and continuous enhancement of a scalable and secure cloud-based data platform
• Oversee development and operations of robust data pipelines (batch & streaming) using Azure technologies
• Define and maintain high-quality data models and integration frameworks aligned with business needs
• Implement best practices for data quality, lineage, metadata management, and regulatory compliance
• Act as a key bridge between business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions
• Drive adoption of modern tools, automation, DevOps practices, and cloud-native technologies
• Lead and mentor onshore/offshore data engineering teams, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement
• Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous optimization for performance and cost
• Establish standards, documentation, and training to foster a strong data culture

Job Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering, data platform management, or data architecture
• Proven track record building scalable cloud-based data platforms
• Strong experience with:
• Real-time/streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, CDC)
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and integration frameworks
• Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex data systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Databricks) are a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
• English required; Mandarin is a plus
