Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Software Developer in Hong Kong to contribute to design, develop, and maintain software applications. The role involves writing code according to specifications, analyzing current systems, and collaborating with regional technology teams.

The ideal candidate has a college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering, 3 to less than 4 years of experience, strong Python and Apache Spark skills, and is proficient in Unix

Qualifications

3 to less than 4 years of relevant work experience.
Strong proficiency in Python programming and Apache Spark.
Experience with Unix shell scripting.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Writing, translating, and coding software programs and applications according to specifications.
Analysing and assessing existing business systems and procedures for improvement.
Collaborating with regional and local technology teams for efficient implementation of new software products and resolving adaptation issues.
Designing, executing, and monitoring software deliverables for performance and quality, including debugging and optimisation.
Generating reports and statistics on programming progress for management and team members.
Developing and maintaining user manuals and guidelines.
Training end users on new or modified programs.
