Job summary

RecrutiCo in Hong Kong is seeking a data engineer to design and develop the Data Warehouse, laying the foundation for analytics. You will build data pipelines, optimize ETL/ELT processes, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, setting the architectural direction for analytics.

You will also help colleagues see the bigger picture by creating clear dashboards and by implementing Data Quality practices to ensure trust in data across the company.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL: write complex queries and optimize execution.
• ETL/ELT experience with data integration concepts.
• dbt experience for data modeling and transformations.
• Engineering mindset with focus on code quality.
• System thinking to organize data for informative reports.

What To Do Design and develop the Data Warehouse (DWH), laying the foundation for analytics

• Build data pipelines: develop, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and propose optimal architectural approaches
• Help colleagues see the bigger picture by developing clear and fast dashboards
• Implement Data Quality practices and ensure trust in data across the company

We Expect Strong SQL skills: able to write complex queries, optimize them, and understand how they execute under the hood

• ETL/ELT experience: knowledge of data pipeline principles and experience with data integration tools
• dbt experience: data modeling and writing transformations in dbt is a big plus
• Engineering mindset: care about code quality, use Git, and understand the importance of Data Quality
• System thinking: ability to organize data so that informative reports and dashboards can be built
