Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of data centre projects across Hong Kong and the wider Asia region. You will coordinate activities from planning through handover under the Senior Project Manager, gaining exposure to complex facilities and multidisciplinary teams.

The role calls for strong organisational and communication skills, collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
• 2–5 years of experience in project management, coordination, construction, building services, MEP, or data centre projects.
• Experience with data centres or large-scale MEP projects is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and project team in delivering data centre, critical facilities and MEP-led projects.
• Coordinate project activities across planning, design development, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones and key deliverables to ensure timely execution.
• Assist in managing project risks, issues and change control processes.
• Prepare project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, action trackers, dashboards and client presentations.
• Coordinate communication and information flow between clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings, workshops and site inspections with clear tracking of objectives and actions.
• Assist in reviewing technical submissions, construction programmes, method statements, testing and commissioning plans, and progress reports.
• Support governance, reporting, budgeting and cost tracking activities.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained in project management systems and digital platforms.
• Promote best practices in health, safety, quality and risk management.
• Support successful transition of projects into operational readiness and client handover.
