Job summary

Tower Research Capital is seeking a Data Center Operations Specialist in Hong Kong to support our high-performance trading infrastructure. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage servers and network components across APAC data centers, coordinating with global teams to ensure uptime and accuracy of documentation.

Ideal candidates are fluent in English and Mandarin, with a solid understanding of data center management, networking basics, Linux, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Understanding of data center management (power, cooling, cabling).
• Basic networking and systems concepts.
• Basic Linux knowledge.
• Experience with SSH, NFS, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
• Experience handling patch cables and fiber optics.
• Shell scripting or cloud exposure is a plus.
• Knowledge of Cisco systems is preferred.
• Inventory management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gathering requirements, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting equipment in data centers.
• Coordinate with local and remote teams to troubleshoot issues and manage connectivity.
• Manage servers and lifecycle processes of physical infrastructure.
• Monitor project progress and reporting of deliverables.
• Maintain clean, organized data centers and shared spaces.
• Coordinate with global data center teams and update documentation.
• Manage equipment orders, returns, shipments, and APAC inventory.
• Automate day-to-day operational tasks.
• Troubleshoot hardware faults and coordinate RMA with suppliers.
• Handle incoming/outgoing shipments and deliveries.
• Maintain technical documentation of infrastructure and processes.
