Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in financial services analytics, modelling and ML/AI
• Experience embedding techniques, RAG, prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning is a plus
• Proficiency in Python, SQL/BigQuery and Tableau/QlikSense within a GCP environment
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate analytics into strategic actions

Join a well-established analytics function inside a major financial services organisation, where you'll turn complex data into strategic, actionable insight using leading-edge AI and machine learning techniques. This engagement will begin as a 12-months renewable contract.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate across teams to deliver AI/machine learning solutions with clearly defined performance measures
• Mine, analyse and model large volumes of structured and unstructured data, applying advanced statistical and predictive techniques to surface strategic solutions
• Stay closely attuned to the shape of the business, anticipating problems and priorities ahead of time
• Take ownership of translating business challenges into analytics-led solutions, managing delivery and rigorously evaluating outcomes
• Share knowledge and best practice, contributing to a collaborative, diverse and supportive team culture
• Deliver high-quality analytics outputs to tight timelines in a fast-moving business environment
• Work within internal policies, procedures and control standards across day-to-day, exceptional and project activities

What You'll Bring

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical findings for a broad, non-technical audience
• A university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
• Experience with embedding techniques, RAG, prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning is a plus
• At least 6 years' experience in financial services, working across analytics, modelling and machine learning/AI/Generative AI
• Proficiency in Python, SQL/BigQuery and Tableau/QlikSense within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment is essential
• Deep knowledge of machine learning/AI techniques and algorithms, with proven experience mining large datasets for fast, actionable insight
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, problem-solving and presentation skills, backed by strong business acumen
• A genuine sense of ownership and a service-driven mindset, committed to delivering an excellent internal customer experience
