Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant cybersecurity, infrastructure security or related technical security experience.
• Hands‑on experience implementing security controls in project or production environments.
• Practical knowledge of OS patching and hardening across RHEL/Linux and Windows.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Azure Stack.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as SAST, DAST, SIEM or vulnerability scanners.
• Ability to troubleshoot security issues and provide practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support remediation validation, patch tracking and baseline compliance.
• Apply controls across virtualized and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes, VMware, Azure Stack).

• Integrate security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with SAST, DAST, SCA and container/image‑scanning tools.
• Review vulnerabilities and drive remediation and closure.
• Support security‑risk assessments, audit evidence and go‑live readiness.

Job description

We are looking for a hands‑on Cybersecurity Engineer to support the security of complex, mission‑critical systems across both project implementation and live production environments.

This role combines Day 1 security implementation with Day 2 production security, giving you exposure across infrastructure security, OS hardening, DevSecOps, container platforms, vulnerability management, IAM and security operations.

You’ll work closely with experienced security leads, infrastructure, systems, software, DevOps and SOC teams to implement controls, resolve vulnerabilities and maintain secure, reliable platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Implement security controls based on approved security designs and standards.
• Perform OS patching and security hardening across RHEL/Linux and Windows environments.
• Support remediation validation, patch tracking and security baseline compliance.
• Apply security controls across virtualised and container platforms such as OpenShift/Kubernetes, VMware and Azure Stack environments.
• Support Kubernetes and container security, including RBAC, secrets management, network policies and image security.
• Integrate and operate security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with SAST, DAST, SCA and container/image‑scanning tools.
• Review vulnerabilities and work with technical teams through remediation, validation and closure.
• Support security‑risk assessments, audit evidence and production go‑live readiness.

Required Skills:

• Hands‑on experience implementing security controls in project or production environments.

• Familiarity with virtualisation or hybrid infrastructure platforms such as VMware and Azure Stack.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as SAST, DAST, SIEM or vulnerability scanners.
• Ability to troubleshoot security issues and work through practical solutions.
