The ideal candidate has 5+ years in credit risk within trading houses or banks, with strong financial analysis and English communication; Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of solid credit risk assessment and portfolio management in APAC/MENA trading houses, suppliers or banks.
• Strong financial and cash flow analysis skills with ability to manage complex corporate portfolios.
• Excellent English communication; Cantonese/Mandarin a plus for regional counterparty management.

Our expanding Credit Department is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly driven Credit Manager to oversee counterparty credit risk and portfolio health. Reporting to the Credit Risk Lead, you will take primary responsibility for managing the credit portfolio and assessment frameworks across the APAC and MENA regions.

The ideal candidate possesses deep industry experience, excellent communication skills, and the leadership capacity to manage high-stakes risk profiles and drive credit decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Limit Management: Oversee the credit evaluation of the Company's trading counterparties, manage total portfolio exposure, and approve or provide definitive recommendations for counterparties' credit limits.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Drive advanced bunker credit risk assessments. Formulate risk mitigation strategies, gather market intelligence, and ensure the timely deactivation of high-risk trading counterparties' limits.

Oversight & Escalation: Act as the direct escalation point for abnormal credit situations and daily monitoring flags raised by the analyst team.

Framework Development: Develop new risk reporting frameworks, analytical tools, and credit solutions from scratch to optimize portfolio visibility.

Strategic Projects: Lead major ad-hoc credit-related initiatives, including deep-dive industry/sector reviews and macro portfolio risk analysis.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Recognized Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years (ideally more for Manager level) of solid credit risk assessment and portfolio management experience within trading houses, suppliers, bunker markets, credit rating agencies, or banks in the APAC/MENA region.

Skills:

• Advanced financial and cash flow analysis skills, with a proven track record of managing complex corporate credit portfolios.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin) is a strong advantage for regional counterparty management.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (VBA capabilities preferred).
