Job summary

Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is seeking a qualified legal professional to report to the General Counsel and support all aspects of HKMA’s functions.

You will provide legal advice to the Exchange Fund Investment Office on investments, including due diligence, transaction execution and post-deal compliance monitoring; and you will advise on other HKMA powers as required.

Qualifications

• Duly admitted as a legal practitioner in a recognized jurisdiction as stipulated under the Legal Officers Ordinance
• At least 2 years’ post qualification experience (part of which may be gained overseas) in alternative investments, including private equity, real estate and infrastructure
• Experience in asset management, structured finance and derivative transactions an advantage
• General understanding of the financial services industry and financial markets
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, highly motivated with ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua an advantage
