Job summary

Weber Shandwick Hong Kong is seeking an ambitious Associate to join the Corporate & Financial Services Practice. You will work on local and regional programs, servicing multiple clients and supporting tactical PR activities with a dynamic team.

You'll build client understanding, conduct media outreach, draft materials, and coordinate events. The role requires bilingual English and Chinese proficiency, strong communication, and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism.
• 1–2 years of PR experience or relevant corporate communications exposure.
• Strong English and Chinese language proficiency (Cantonese/Mandarin).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support account lead to manage client relationships and implement local/regional strategies.
• Monitor news, competitors, industry and societal developments.
• Build connections with local/regional media and identify trade media.
• Provide media relations support: research, media lists, materials, pitching.
• Translate and prepare bilingual article summaries and media materials.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties for client events.
• Conduct research and draw conclusions from media data.
• Perform general reporting and administrative duties.
