Job summary

Global Bank is seeking a Corporate Action Specialist to manage and process corporate action events with accuracy and timeliness. You will review events, verify details, and ensure actions align with client instructions and system cut-offs.

The role requires 2-3 years in Corporate Actions or related operations, knowledge of dividends and mergers, and collaboration with custodians and settlements to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Corporate Actions or related banking operations.
• Checker, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of securities products and corporate actions across assets.
• Familiar with dividends, rights issues, redemptions, mergers and reorganisations.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve corporate action events and transactions prepared by team members.
• Verify event details, entitlements, rates, deadlines, and client instructions for accuracy.
• Ensure instructions processed within custodian, funding, and system cut-off times.
• Monitor outstanding items, exceptions, and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate breaks where required.
• Complete daily controls, checklists, and operational reports.
• Escalate operational issues, errors, risks, and missed deadlines promptly.
• Liaise with custodians, agents, settlements, payments, technology, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, regulatory requirements, and maker-checker controls.
• Contribute to process improvements, operational efficiency, and risk reduction initiatives.
