Job summary

Shui On Building Contractors Limited 瑞安承建有限公司 is seeking a Contract Technical Assistant - Architectural (CTA-A) to support architectural drawing development and coordination across multiple disciplines at Housing Authority Headquarter.

The role requires solid AutoCAD drafting skills, Building Regulations knowledge, and familiarity with Photoshop/3D/PowerPoint. The position is offered on a contract term with responsibilities spanning drawings, surveys, records, and model construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher cert in Building or Architectural Studies from HK Poly or recognized by CM.
• Good skill and experience in AutoCAD drafting.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and Code of Practices; Photoshop/3D/PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and update working drawings, submission drawings, presentation drawings, survey plans and schedules.
• Check shop drawings and as-fitted drawings submitted by contractor, suppliers and utility companies.
• Coordinate architectural, building services, structural, site formation, drainage, geotechnical and other drawings as necessary.
• Liaise with professionals, technical officers and site staff of the Housing Department and contractor's representatives where appropriate, on matters related to the project.
• Assist in the research of architectural / building materials for use in the contract and where applicable, their cost and sources of supply.
• Take on-site measurement and prepare survey drawings.
• Prepare, update record drawing and programme charts.
• Compute site areas, plot ratio, etc.
• Issue and receipt of drawings and maintain proper records.
• Construct study models.
• Arrange printing of drawings.
• Perform other duties as directed by the CM or CM's Representatives

The Job:

• To prepare, check and update working drawings, submission drawings, presentation drawings, survey plans and schedules;
• To check shop drawings and as-fitted drawings submitted by contractor, suppliers and utility companies;
• To co-ordinate architectural, building services, structural, site formation, drainage, geotechnical and other drawings as necessary;
• Toliaise with professionals, technical officers and site staff of the Housing Department and contractor's representatives where appropriate, on matters related to the project;
• To assist in the research of architectural / building materials for use in the contract and where applicable, their cost and sources of supply;
• To take on-site measurement and prepare survey drawings;
• To prepare, update record drawing and programme charts;
• to compute site areas, plot ratio, etc.
• To be responsible for the issue and receipt of drawings and to maintain a proper record of such;
• To construct study models;
• To arrange printing of drawings;
• To perform other duties as directed by the CM or the CM's Representatives

Requirements:

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in either Building Studies or Architectural Studiesfrom Hong Kong Polytechnic University or an institute of vocational education which acceptability is subject to CM's confirmation, or equivalent as accepted by the CM;
• Good skill and experience in AutoCAD drafting and preparation of architectural drawings;
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations and Code of Practices Possession;
• Possession of proficient skill in Photoshop, 3D and PowerPoint applications are preferred

Salary: starting from $25,115 will be paid according to working experience and the terms and conditions as stipulated by Housing Department

Working Location: Housing Authority Headquarter

Office Hours: The normal office hours are either (i) from 08:30 to 17:18 or (ii) from 08:57 to 17:45, Monday to Friday as determined by the CM. The office hours may be subject to change to follow the general office hours of the Housing Department upon CM's written instruction.

Period of Employment: CTA(A) will be employed by contract term.
