Job summary

Seaspan Corporation is seeking a Project Manager, Newbuild to oversee technical management of new shipbuilding projects in Hong Kong. This temporary role requires marine electrical specialization and significant at-sea and shipyard experience.

You will manage building specifications,Coordinate maker selections, monitor budgets and timelines, and liaise with yards, suppliers, and classification societies to ensure vessels meet Seaspan standards.

Qualifications

• Marine engineering certification (Electrical) is required.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status preferred.
• Shipboard technical experience and project management exposure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with yards and vendors.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of new shipbuilding projects within budget and timelines.
• Coordinate builder specification development and negotiations with yards.
• Oversee maker selection processes with vendors and Fleet mgmt.
• Track technical developments, plan approvals, and conformity with Seaspan standards.
• Monitor cost/credit variations and communicate with shipyards.
• Ensure timely delivery of Buyer Supply items and report progress weekly.
