Job summary

Chong Hing Bank Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager for Financial Accounting & Control on a 3-month contract in Hong Kong. The role focuses on maintaining auto-pay arrangements, month-end closings, asset registers, depreciation, reporting for subsidiaries, and preparing annual financial statements for auditing.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in accounting/finance, with solid financial industry experience and professional qualifications (CPA/CFA/FRM preferred).

Qualifications

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Solid experience in financial industry, preferably a CPA/CFA/FRM holder.
• Meticulous with strong planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
• A good team player with high level commitment to the job.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data, perform scenario analysis, and produce actionable insights.
• Problem solving mindset, attention to details, self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure.
• Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, with VBA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-dated auto-pay arrangement.
• Perform and monitor the accruals.
• Perform daily book closing and reporting of subsidiaries.
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register (Land & Building, Motor Car, Computer).
• Compute monthly depreciation of Fixed Assets.
• Investigate and review the incentive award scheme for branch managers and sales staff.
• Compile various analysis reports and schedules.
• Handle cheques received from HR and other departments.
• Prepare annual report and financial statements for auditing.
• Bank confirmation and taxation for subsidiaries.
• Petty cash review.
• Conduct charges analysis and respond to enquiries.
