Job summary

Hong Kong Life Insurance Limited is seeking a software professional to perform system development, testing, implementation and maintenance support, as well as documentation and user training to ensure reliable operations across our platforms.

You will collaborate with the System Analyst on web application and backend development, participate in ongoing system support and enhancements, and conduct SIT and support UAT to ensure that the enhanced systems meet the required specifications.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or IT.
• 1-3 years IT experience; life/employee benefits insurance asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Chinese and English fluency; fresh graduates considered.

Job description

Perform system development, testing, implementation, maintenance support, documentation and user training

Work with System Analyst on web application and backend system development

Participate in on-going system support & enhancement

Conduct SIT and support UAT to ensure the enhanced systems meet the requirement specifications

Requirements

• University Degree holder in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
• 1-3 years of practical work experience in Information Technology; Experience in Life Insurance or Employee Benefit Insurance is a definite asset
• Good analytical mind and problem-solving skills with a can-do attribute
• Experience in Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js, Vue.js, Visual Basic, Crystal report, Jasper Reporting tools is an advantage
• Experience in developing or maintaining backend core system is an advantage
• Knowledge in AIX/Linux, WebSphere, Oracle, MS SQL, VB.Net is an advantage
• Knowledge of modern front-end or mobile app frameworks (e.g. Angular.js, Vue.js, React/React Native, Flutter) will be advantage.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
• Fresh graduates will also be considered
