Job summary

The Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics invites applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow to explore and develop innovative solutions, commercializable technologies, and functional prototypes in construction robotics. Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Strong ability to define problems, solve them, and implement systems.
• Experience or interest in entrepreneurial R&D, tech transfer, or start-ups is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin (or Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end R&D processes from concept to functional prototypes and market-ready solutions.
• Participate in entrepreneurial development, including business model validation and technology transfer.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders to identify real-world construction challenges and assess product-market fit.
• Support IP management, patent filings, and technical documentation for commercialization.
• Supervise course-based projects and conduct hands-on tutorials to foster innovation.
