CHANEL in Hong Kong and Macau is seeking a Community & Engagement Manager to shape the House's communications by building advocacy and meaningful relationships across Fashion, Watches & Jewelry, Fragrance & Beauty, and Arts & Culture.
You will cultivate a high-quality community of cultural voices, creators, and emerging advocates, partner with PR, and translate listening insights into strategic actions that strengthen loyalty and cultural relevance in the market.
As Community & Engagement Manager, you will help shape the next chapter of CHANEL's communications strategy in Hong Kong and Macau, evolving from a model focused primarily on visibility to one that builds long-term advocacy, affinity, and meaningful relationships. Working across Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewellery, Fragrance & Beauty, and Arts & Culture, you will cultivate a high-quality community of cultural voices, creators, tastemakers, and emerging advocates who share a genuine connection with the House. Reporting to the General Manager of Communications, you will act as a unifying relationship owner, creating engagement strategies that strengthen loyalty to CHANEL as a House and deepen its cultural relevance within the local market.
You will build and nurture an engaged community that feels seen, valued, and connected to the House, transforming audiences into lasting advocates. Through thoughtful relationship management and strategic community programming, you will create meaningful experiences that extend beyond individual campaigns and events, converting passive audiences into engaged participants, advocates, and long-term relationships. By fostering authentic connections and listening closely to evolving cultural conversations, you will provide valuable insights that help shape communications strategies, strengthen advocacy, and reinforce CHANEL's positioning in the market. Your work will contribute to a more connected ecosystem where community engagement, brand storytelling, and cultural relevance come together to create lasting impact.
Identify potential advocates based on genuine affinity, cultural relevance, and quality of engagement, not follower count alone. Support relationship journeys for selected creators and community voices. Coordinates with PR leads on outreach, invitations, gifting, and follow-up Track relationship quality, participation, and advocacy over time.
Define the House’s community segmentation: e.g. creators, cultural voices, industry peers, and emerging advocates. Build a rolling community calendar aligned with launches, brand moments and events. Propose and coordinate community-led initiatives: private conversations, workshops, or cultural partnerships. Ensure initiatives are purposeful—not engagement for engagement’s sake—and reinforce the House’s identity.
Monitor conversations, sentiment, recurring questions, cultural signals, and competitor/community activity. Turn qualitative feedback into concise, useful recommendations for leadership and partner teams. Produce quarterly strategic insight reports. Surface emerging opportunities, risks, misconceptions, and unmet community needs early.
You Are Energized By Building authentic relationships with culturally relevant individuals, communities, and opinion leaders. Creating engagement strategies that foster trust, advocacy, and long-term affinity. Identifying emerging cultural trends, voices, and opportunities that can strengthen the House's relevance. Bringing people together through thoughtfully curated experiences, conversations, and community initiatives. Translating community feedback and cultural signals into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Collaborating across functions and divisions to deliver consistent and elevated House experience. Connecting diverse audiences around a shared appreciation of creativity, craftsmanship, and culture.
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences with authenticity, empathy, and discretion. Strategic thinkers with strong execution capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and listening skills, with the ability to identify emerging cultural trends and translate qualitative insights into meaningful actions. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese. Highly collaborative, curious, and proactive, with a passion for culture, creativity, human connection, and the values that define the House of CHANEL. Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving initiatives from concept through execution.
