Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong seeks a hands-on IT professional with strong Linux system administration, Python, SQL and ETL skills. The role covers data engineering, database design from multiple sources, and production job scheduling within a collaborative IT team that values mentors.

Required Higher Diploma with 3+ years in IT, plus 4–5 years in data engineering or BI/data processing, and PC/LAN hardware experience. English and Cantonese communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma with at least 3 years experience in IT or related field.
• Diploma or above in Computer/Electronic Engineering.
• 2 years or above experience in PC/LAN hardware support.
• 4-5 years of experience in data engineering, databases or BI/data processing.
• Provide operation and maintenance supports.
• Batch Job Design, develop, test, and implement robust ETL.
• Support complex data extraction requests for Finance and Risk Analytic aspect.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, automate routine, monitor production job schedule.
• Strong Linux system administration and networking skills.
• Proficient in English and Cantonese communication.

Responsibilities

• Design & maintain the databases from various sources.
• Develop and test ETL batches and production jobs.
• Provide daily Data Centre operational support.
• Monitor production schedules and automate routine tasks.
• Support data extraction requests for analytics in Finance and Risk.
