Job summary

Electrical Technician in the Clinical Oncology Department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital under the Hospital Authority – Kowloon Central Cluster is invited to join a team providing technical services for radiological equipment maintenance and QA. Qualifications

• Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering from a polytechnic or technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent.
• 3 years' post-qualification experience in equipment maintenance.
• English language proficiency as per HKCEE (Syllabus B) or HKDSE Level 2 or above.
• Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in 3D printing.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex electronic equipment.
• Ability in problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services and support to the medical physics division within the Cluster.
• Provide preventive and emergency maintenance services for radio diagnostic, radiotherapy, electronic equipment, computer server and network systems.
• Assist Physicists to calibrate and perform dosimetric measurements and quality assurance checks on radiological equipment.
• Assist Physicists to perform quality assurance checks on patient treatment plans.
• Assist Physicists to perform radiation survey and radiological protection measurements for patients, staff and members of the public.
• Assist Physicists to perform computer / electronic / electrical / mechanical applications in radiological and related fields.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
