Chubb Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned finance professional to oversee month-end close, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, and manage balance sheet reconciliations.

You will coordinate group reporting, statutory returns, and regulatory submissions, collaborate with Actuarial, FP&A, Treasury and Legal, and lead a team to drive governance, automation and process improvements.

• Oversee and lead the month-end closing activities, including the review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate group reporting packages for regional and corporate reporting.
• Lead preparation of statutory returns and regulatory submissions in compliance with accounting policies and reporting standards.
• Prepare Board, Audit Committee and senior management financial reporting materials.
• Serve as a key subject matter expert on IFRS 17, insurance accounting matters, accounting implications of new products, reinsurance arrangements and business initiatives.
• Review and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions and emerging accounting standards with business impacts.
• Manage and coordinate external and internal audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control frameworks, where applicable.
• Strengthen financial reporting controls and governance processes.
• Work closely with Actuarial, FP&A, Treasury & Operations, Legal, Risk & Compliance to provide accounting support for strategic projects, product launches and corporate initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
