Job summary

Chubb Life Asia Services Limited is seeking a senior FP&A professional to lead planning, budgeting, and strategic analysis across Asia markets. You will drive monthly management reporting, performance reviews with country presidents and CFOs, and act as a technical lead for BI projects, building dashboards in Qlikview and Qlik Sense.

You will manage a small team, coordinate global standards implementation, and provide deep analysis to inform capital decisions and forecasting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting, financial reporting or FP&A experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or analytics.
• CA/CPA or actuarial designation preferred.
• Insurance experience in Life or A&H carrier is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excel/PowerPoint/Word mastery; VBA and SQL a plus; TM1/PeopleSoft familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review 5-year strategic plan and annual plan with Asia markets management.

• Lead BI projects: requirements, planning, development, implementation, stakeholder management and ongoing support.

• Collaborate with countries to support capital infusion requests.
• Manage a small finance team; coach and allocate workloads.
• Drive projects to improve efficiency and performance across the region.
• Handle ad hoc reporting; provide detailed analysis and commentary on results/forecast.
• Map processes; seek opportunities for reporting improvements.
• Provide strategic oversight; participate in Global Life Office Finance leadership.

Job description

Responsible for various FP&A tasks within Chubb Life Regional Finance team, including the annual plan, 5 year strategic plan, monthly management results, and various presentations along with special projects.

Responsibilities

• Key member in coordinating and reviewing the 5-year strategic plan and annual plan with all Asia markets management
• Develop and compile the monthly management reports and lead monthly performance discussions with country presidents and chief financial officers
• Be a technical lead for multiple BI projects including requirement gathering, planning, development, implementation, stakeholder management and on-going support
• Design, build and launch accessible, reliable data visualization dashboards in Qlikview and Qlik Sense that provide actionable insights across cross-functional teams.
• Lead the regional implementation of global standards and/or systems as required
• Prepare presentation as well as the supporting schedules for both internal and external reviews
• Work with countries and support the capital infusion requests
• Dual role managing a small team of finance professionals coaching, mentoring as well as allocating workloads
• Take leadership role on the projects that will improve country’s and departmental efficiency and performance
• Prepare any ad hoc reporting requests
• Provide detailed analysis and commentary on results and forecast
• Map critical processes and seek opportunities for process improvement and enhanced reporting capabilities
• Provide strategic oversight and leadership, support other key projects and initiatives as required, and be an active member of the Global Life Office Finance leadership.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or analytics;
• 10+ years of accounting or financial reporting or FP&A experience;
• CA/CPA or actuarial associate/fellow designations preferred
• Insurance experience, preferably experience working with a Life or A&H carrier
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and an ability to perform complex analyses
• Mastery of end user applications (e.g. Microsoft products such as Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
• Intermediate/Advanced VBA and SQL a plus; strong database development and query knowledge including proficiency in SQL coding across standard relational environment.
• Experience with Chubb Financial Systems and Processes a plus, in particular TM1 System and PeopleSoft
