Job summary

GBAICTI invites applications for the position of Research Assistant Professor (to be seconded as Chief Data Scientist) to lead the RWSAC’s scientific and methodological core. Based at Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, the role drives real-world evidence studies and data integration initiatives.

The appointee will oversee data model development, analytics, AI/ML integration, and manage a team of data scientists and BI professionals, with a requirement

Qualifications

• PhD degree required in a quantitative discipline.
• Preferably 5+ years supervisory experience in epidemiology, data management, programming and statistics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/R or similar; experience with big data platforms and ML.
• Commitment to quality, integrity, confidentiality and compliance.
• Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific and methodological core of the RWSAC.
• Provide leadership in design, execution, and analysis of real-world evidence (RWE) studies.
• Oversee development/validation of the common data model and data integration platform.
• Ensure analytical methodologies are robust, reproducible, and compliant with guidelines.
• Lead exploration of innovative analytical approaches and manage data science/BI team.
• Collaborate to integrate advanced AI/ML into the RWE pipeline.
