Job summary

AIA Company Limited is seeking a senior leader to head Capital Management, reporting to senior stakeholders and overseeing ORSA, capital planning and S&P rating activities across AIA Global entities. The role encompasses governance, regulatory coordination and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Risk, Investment and Actuarial teams.

You will drive end-to-end capital strategy, ensure compliant reporting, and manage a high-performing team to support sustainable growth for the group.

Qualifications

• University/College graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related subject with at least 10 years’ experience in life insurance.
• Fellowship in actuarial professional examinations is required.
• Strong people, analytical, communication, presentation and project management skills.
• Experience with statutory/economic/regulatory reporting, solvency and capital management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Regular Financial Closing (Stress Capital and Sensitivity Testing) and governance reviews.
• Own ORSA design and solvency risk assessment aligned with regulatory timelines.
• Lead Capital Management and 3-year strategic planning for solvency and remittance capacity.
• Prepare Board-level documentation and manage senior management reporting.
• Cash remittance coordination with Group Treasury and local finance.
• Optimize capital efficiency through ALM initiatives and rating considerations.
• Regulatory engagement and coordination with regulators and governance bodies.
• Coach and develop Capital Management team to achieve goals.
