Job summary

HR Plus is seeking an Assistant Accountant in Hong Kong to join a stable, well-established accounting team. You will handle month-end closing for AR, manage budgets across departments and projects, and support revenue recognition processes.

The role requires solid AR experience in sizeable companies and proficiency in English and Chinese. Diploma in Business Administration/Accounting is required; CPA qualifications or more experience will be considered for advancement to Accountant.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder or above in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Solid AR experience from sizeable companies is an advantage.
• Candidates with CPA qualifications and more experience will be considered as Accountant.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good command of both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of revenue recognition for various projects and departments.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to determine suitable budgets for projects, ensuring financial feasibility.
• Process and review requests for adjustments to sales orders and purchase orders, maintaining accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Prepare month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and other necessary adjustments, to ensure precise financial reporting.
• Conduct analysis of revenue and cost fluctuations, identifying trends, patterns, and potential opportunities for improvement or cost savings.
