Job summary

Happy Life Education Foundation Limited is seeking an Assistant Teacher of Mathematics to support homeroom and maths lessons for bilingual learners in Hong Kong. You will assist in delivering arithmetic, geometry, algebra, and word problems, and provide differentiated instruction.

You will work with small groups and individuals, offer timely feedback, help with marking and data tracking, and prepare materials for assessments and parent-teacher conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Education, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field preferred.
• Native or near-native fluency in English; Mandarin preferred for local communication.
• 1+ year of teaching or teaching-assistant experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Strong classroom management, differentiated instruction, and small-group facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with basic educational technology and math teaching software or manipulatives is preferred.
• Experience in international, bilingual or Mathematics teaching settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist homeroom and Mathematics teachers in preparing and delivering Maths lessons.
• Provide small-group and one-on-one Mathematics support with feedback.
• Assist with marking, track and analyse student learning data, and prepare assessment materials.
• Monitor student wellbeing and behaviour, report concerns, model positive behaviour.
• Support curriculum planning, events, competitions, and classroom celebrations.
• Communicate student progress with parents and collaborate with leadership.
• Participate in evaluation and professional development; seek growth opportunities.
• Uphold child safeguarding policy.
