Job summary

Hong Kong Job Consulting is seeking a Senior System Development Manager to lead E-banking and Open Platform initiatives within a major Hong Kong bank. You will design and deliver web, mobile, and backend systems, driving digital transformation and platform openness.

The role requires 8+ years in IT within banking, strong Java/SpringBoot experience, API/microservices, cloud, and DevSecOps familiarity. Excellent English, Cantonese and Mandarin communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience, preferably in Banking Industry.
• Strong experience in Java development, web and mobile app development, and SDLC.
• Experience with Java APIs, Android/iOS, Swift, Objective-C, Java, Xcode.
• Linux system development experience; DevSecOps and API/microservice development are a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle/DB2/MySQL/MongoDB/WebSphere/MQ is advantageous.
• Good written/spoken English, Cantonese, Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support bank application systems including web, mobile apps and back-end services.
• Lead key projects for business expansion and seamless implementation.
• Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions; assist project management and vendor monitoring.
• Implement E-Banking platform and Mobile App; gather user requirements and document technical specs.
• Oversee Open Platform digital transformation projects with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

A reputable China-based Bank in Hong Kong is looking for a high-caliber Senior System Development Manager to join her Information Technology Department

Responsibilities (E-banking):

• Responsible for system design, development and support of the bank application systems, including web application systems, mobile App and backend systems.
• Participate in key projects for expansion of the business to ensure seamless implementation.
• Troubleshoot problem and propose recommendation to solve issue
• Assist the project manager in project management.
• Implement E-Banking platform and E-Banking Mobile App.
• Facilitate user requirement gathering, recommend best practice solutions
• Prepare technical documentation

Requirements (E-banking):

• Responsible for system design, development and support of the application systems for the bank digital transformation.
• Participate in key projects for expansion of the business to ensure seamless implementation.
• Manage digital transformation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather business requirements and provide consultation for stakeholders.
• Assist in project management such as resources control and vendor monitoring, and make reporting to supervisors as and when necessary.
• Involve in system development lifecycle including user requirement collection, analysis and design, development, SIT, UAT, training, documentation and ongoing support.
• Troubleshoot problem and propose recommendation to resolve issue, and collaborate with developers and/or external parties to resolve technical issue.
• Manage and work closely with external vendors.

Requirements (Open Platform):

• Degree or above with major in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
• At least 8 years working experience, preferably in Banking and Finance sector.
• Solid experience in Internet web application and SQL programming.
• Experience on Open API, eKYC, Biometric, Artificial Intelligence, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Cloud Platform, Microservice, API, CI/CD Pipeline, DevSecOps tools, open source framework, container, docker, Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Knowledge on Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Mongo DB, WebSphere, MQ, AIX, Linux is an advantage.
• Professional qualification in Agile and Scrum is an advantage.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication and negotiation skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
