Job summary
CTBC Bank Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch seeks a Hong Kong qualified lawyer to lead its legal and compliance agenda in the banking sector, advising management and internal units on litigation and commercial matters.
The role covers drafting and negotiating banking agreements, updating policies for regulatory compliance, coordinating with HQ and overseas offices, and providing staff training on legal changes.
Qualifications
- Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 3 years of PQE.
- Experience in banking or finance industry preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in commercial litigation is essential.
- Excellent contract drafting and interpretation skills.
- Fluent in English and Chinese; Mandarin proficiency advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and liaise with external counsel on litigation matters and provide timely advice to management and internal units.
- Draft, review and negotiate a full range of banking-related commercial agreements and legal documents.
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice to management and relevant internal units.
- Review and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HQ and overseas branches to ensure policy consistency across the bank.
- Organise and deliver staff training on legal matters and changes in the legal framework.
