Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead, manage and implement IT projects ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables across banking systems.

The role requires hands-on system design, development and support, extensive coordination with users and vendors, and strong risk management, change control and communication skills; proficiency in Chinese and English is preferred, with Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in IT/CS or related discipline.
• 5+ years in application development with 2+ years of project management.
• Solid IBM mainframe experience: z/OS, MVS, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, CICS.
• Familiar with payment, credit card, and unsecured lending products and systems.
• Proficient in Chinese and English; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and implement IT projects to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
• Oversee system design, development and support of application systems.
• Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting and escalation.
• Coordinate with users and vendors for requirements, design, development, testing.
• Identify risks, dependencies and mitigate issues across the project life cycle.
• Manage change control across project stages.
• Troubleshoot issues and liaise with developers to resolve technical problems.
• Coordinate system integration design with internal and external parties.
