Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) invites applications for a Senior Systems Manager in its Infrastructure Critical Services team. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines.
• 10+ years’ IT infrastructure support with at least 3 years in management/supervisory role.
• Experience providing team leadership and managing production incidents and problems.

• Partner with application teams on IT solution configuration and review.
• Interact with internal and external parties on planning and execution.
• Play a key role in vendor management.
• Manage incident and problem management including impact assessment, troubleshooting and remediation.
• Understand HKEX compliance and audit requirements and define operation workflows.
• Develop automation of server operations and compile standardized operation/technical documents.
• Collaborate with cyber security and infrastructure teams to adopt modern technologies like multi-cloud and container orchestration to enhance manageability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Senior Systems Manager to join our Infrastructure Critical Services team. Our team maintains first-in-class systems for trading, market data and clearing in cash and derivative markets. We play a critical role on infrastructure support, including compute servers, storage and backup of our mission critical systems. We also partner with application and cyber security teams to operate our systems in such fast growing financial markets in Hong Kong. If you want to make an impact, come and join us.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the application teams on IT solution configuration and review.
• Interact with internal and external parties on planning and execution.
• Play a key role in vendor management.
• Play a role in incident and problem management such as impact assessment, troubleshooting and remediation and prevention.
• Understand HKEX compliance and audit requirements and define operation workflows and procedures accordingly.
• Develop automation of server operations and compile standardized operation and technical documents.
• Collaborate with the Cyber security/infrastructure engineering and project teams to adopt modern technologies, such as multi-cloud and container orchestration, to enhance manageability.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines.
• 10+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure support with at least 3 years at management/supervisory level.
• Provide team management and leadership.
• Manage IT compliance, risks, and issues register.
• Manage production incidents and problems for critical infrastructure (compute, data storage, and protection).
• Extensive hands-on problem solving experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/Window platform, data storage and protection/or Cloud related solutions.
• Experience of providing solutions as a subject matter expert (SME) and able to deliver high quality of outcomes.
• Able to drive the team to improve as a whole.

Location: HKEX - TKO Shift: Standard - 40 Hours (Hong Kong SAR)
