Job summary

Chong Hing Bank Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced data analytics professional to lead data governance, quality, and strategy across the bank.

You will collaborate with business units to define standards, support management information systems, and deliver insights for retention, cross-selling, and forecasting. Fluency in English and Cantonese is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business analytics experience, preferably with Data Warehouse and Data Governance knowledge.
• High proficiency in SAS, SQL, Data Warehouse, statistical tools, MS Excel and VBA.
• Detail-minded and well-organized with high level of integrity.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill with positive and helpful attitude.
• Proactive, strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of spoken English and Cantonese, Putonghua is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive the governance framework and data quality initiatives across the business.
• Define bank level data strategy in data analytics and data infrastructure.
• Strengthen Data Governance structure with emphasis on business participation and ownership.
• Maintain the business data standards to ensure projects are aligned with the data governance policies.
• Support the development of consistent and robust MI and data analytic capabilities across the business units.
• Provide business analytics for planning, forecast and strategic financial analysis.
• Provide accurate customer insight and integrated views to identify opportunities for retention, cross-selling, up selling and customized targeting.
• Understanding of the business requirements for analytics and reporting across segments, product and functions.
• Act as a focal point to liaise with the mainland team on the IT Strategic planning and reporting.
• Carry out health check and data cleansing on Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) related data to ensure data accuracy and compile to the IS Guideline.
