About the role

C W Fan & Co. Limited is seeking an experienced Audit Senior / Associate to join our assurance team.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and executing assurance engagements in accordance with Hong Kong Standards on Auditing (HKSA) and relevant regulatory requirements
• Performing substantive audit procedures and analytical reviews to assess the fairness of financial statements and internal controls
• Supervising and mentoring juniors, providing guidance on audit methodology and best practices
• Conducting risk assessments and developing audit strategies tailored to each client's business environment
• Identifying audit findings and recommending process improvements or control enhancements to clients
• Preparing audit working papers, documentation and supporting evidence to support audit conclusions
• Liaising with clients, management and other stakeholders to gather information and address queries
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards and regulatory developments
• Contributing to the efficient delivery of audit services within budget and timeframe parameters

What we're looking for

• Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent from a recognised accounting body
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in external audit or a structured accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS)
• Demonstrated proficiency in audit methodology, internal controls assessment and risk-based auditing approaches
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at various levels
• Proficiency in audit software and financial systems; experience with ACL or similar tools is advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Proactive approach to professional development and commitment to continuous learning within the audit field
