Job summary

Rubicon Talent Limited is seeking a Junior Auditor for a CPA firm in Hong Kong. The role targets candidates with around 1 year of practical audit experience and aims to further develop technical audit and accounting skills in a professional environment.

You will work closely with senior team members on diverse engagements across industries, prepare working papers, assist with financial statements, and gain exposure to tax computations where required. Immediate availability is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1 year of audit experience in a CPA firm or internship preferred.
• Higher Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of Hong Kong accounting and audit procedures.
• Detail-minded and willing to learn.

Junior Auditor – CPA Firm | 1 Year Audit Experience Preferred

The role is suitable for candidates with around 1 year of practical audit experience in a CPA firm who would like to further develop their technical audit and accounting skills in a professional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members and gain exposure to a variety of audit engagements across different industries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in statutory audit engagements for Hong Kong companies
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting schedules
• Perform audit testing including bank reconciliation, accounts receivable / payable testing, cut-off testing, expense and revenue testing, and stock take / inventory verification
• Assist in preparing financial statements and audit reports
• Perform client document checking and audit evidence collection
• Follow up outstanding information with clients
• Assist with tax computation and profits tax return preparation where required
• Support seniors / managers in completing audit assignments
• Maintain proper audit documentation and filing
• Handle ad hoc accounting / audit assignments when required

About you

• Higher Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Around 1 year of audit experience gained in a CPA firm preferred
• Candidates with solid audit internship experience may also be considered
• Basic understanding of Hong Kong accounting and audit procedures
• Experience preparing audit working papers would be an advantage
• Detail-minded, responsible and willing to learn
• Able to work independently under guidance
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Mandarin would be an advantage
• Immediate availability would be advantageous
