HKEX is transforming its risk data landscape. As a Risk Data Engineer, you will build data pipelines for risk analytics, leveraging Big Data platforms to empower Post Trade and Operational Risk teams with self-serve BI.

You will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in a fast-paced, international environment based in Hong Kong. The role targets professionals with strong SQL, Python, and data warehousing skills, and offers a 12-month contract with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Analytics SME, BI Engineer, or Data Scientist.
• Experience in data analysis and statistics; capable of cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with analytics on large-scale data in finance/risk domains preferred.
• Hands-on Python, VBA, SQL, ETL development and data warehousing skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify value-added opportunities through data analytics and design data solutions.
• Analyze large risk data using analytics, visualization, and data science techniques.
• Drive new data/analytics concepts across the department.
• Collaborate with the Chief Data Office to refine risk data framework.
• Work with operations to enhance existing business use cases.
• Optimize workflows and use cases for smoother processes.
