Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd is seeking an Associate Director in FX Advisory & Solution within Wealth Management. The role provides exposure to private clients, relationship managers, and traders, delivering market insights, tailored FX strategies, and high-quality execution across Hong Kong.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in FX markets, strong wealth-management knowledge, and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. CFA/FRM/CPA are a plus.

Qualifications

  • University degree; CFA/FRM/CPA advantageous.
  • 6–8 years in financial markets, sales, advisory or dealing.
  • Hands-on FX dealing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management within Private Banking or Retail Banking.
  • Knowledge of FX markets, investment products, client advisory, and execution.
  • Strong commercial awareness and relationship-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management; fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term strategic and tactical plans to capture FX business opportunities across the Bank's Hong Kong franchise.
  • Grow the FX client base by delivering advisory, distribution, and execution services to Private Banking clients and Relationship Managers.
  • Provide timely market updates, actionable FX insights, and tailored investment or trading strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive achievement of CMPS FX Hong Kong revenue targets through proactive client engagement and execution support.
  • Build trusted partnerships with Front Office teams, Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, DAC, and other key business partners.
  • Lead FX product ideation, structuring, feature enhancement, service improvement, and operational upgrade initiatives.
  • Monitor business performance, competitor activity, and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and actions.
  • Ensure all FX advisory and execution activities comply with policies, regulatory requirements, control standards, and best execution principles.
