Job summary

Aon in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Financial Lines leader to oversee placement and servicing of complex insurance programmes. You will develop strong client and insurer relationships across local and international markets, structure bespoke solutions and advise on coverage and risk transfer strategies.

The role requires deep technical Financial Lines knowledge, leadership to mentor staff, and the ability to drive business development while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Financial Lines.
• Deep technical knowledge of financial lines products.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to deliver client-focused solutions.
• Excellent relationship management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the placement and servicing of complex Financial Lines insurance programmes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and underwriting partners across local and international markets.
• Structure, negotiate and place bespoke insurance solutions for large, complex and high-value risks.
• Provide strategic advice on coverage, market conditions, risk transfer options and emerging exposures.
• Advocate on behalf of clients during policy negotiations, coverage disputes and claims-related matters.
• Support business development activities, identify growth opportunities and contribute to client retention strategies.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance across Financial Lines products.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional client service and achieve business objectives.
