As one of the world’s top three credit ratings agencies, Fitch Ratings plays a critical role in global capital markets by providing supplementary credit analysis, ratings, research, and commentary to financial market participants. For over 100 years, Fitch Ratings has been creating value for global markets through its rigorous analysis and deep expertise, which have resulted in a variety of market leading tools, methodologies, indices, research, and analytical products. Fitch Ratings is part of Fitch Group, a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries, which also includes Fitch Solutions. At Fitch Ratings, credit analysts play a pivotal role in moving markets, as quality credit analysis is the lifeblood of our organization. With a legacy of over a century, our unique approach to credit ratings offers unmatched opportunities for professional growth. Embracing a “challenger mindset,” you'll join a team dedicated to innovating service to our clients. Our people-driven analysis thrives on collaboration across all levels and locations, surpassing traditional financial modeling. Lastly, as part of our global community, you'll find inspiration, challenge, and support, with ample opportunities for visibility and influence in the global financial marketplace.

This role sits within the APAC Financial Institutions Ratings Group, focused on Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) credit ratings with potential exposure to banks and insurers. Reporting to the Head of APAC NBFIs in Hong Kong, you will play a key role in strengthening our franchise, particularly across Mandarin-speaking markets. We are seeking a self-driven professional who takes ownership, holds high standards, and demonstrates strong analytical rigour, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality work.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Take ownership of quantitative and qualitative credit analysis of NBFI credits, driving accurate rating assignments and surveillance that uphold Fitch's analytical standards
  • Manage a portfolio of rated entities with discipline and efficiency, producing high-quality rating reports and thematic research that deliver the speed, relevance, and insight clients increasingly expect
  • Present and defend credit views at rating committees, contributing to the consistency and integrity of Fitch's ratings process
  • Build trusted relationships with issuers, investors, and other key stakeholders to support franchise growth across the region
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and process improvements, including through the thoughtful application of AI-enabled tools
You May be a Good Fit if:
  • 5+ years of experience in credit or risk analysis, with exposure to financial institutions, particularly NBFIs, banks, or insurers
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a structured approach to problem-solving and forming well-reasoned judgments
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling insights
  • Native or fluent proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet issuer management across the region
What Would Make You Stand Out:
  • Prior experience at a rating agency or in a fixed income or credit-focused role
  • Strong academic background in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
  • Proven ability to take ownership of a coverage portfolio, manage competing priorities effectively, and deliver high-quality work independently
  • Proficiency in an additional Asian language
Why Choose Fitch:
