Jones Day in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Associate to join our global Corporate & M&A practice. The role focuses on cross-border M&A, PE and VC transactions, offering exposure to high-profile deals and clients across jurisdictions.

You will collaborate with international teams, manage files independently, and participate in client networking, pitches, and market visibility initiatives, contributing to our fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Hong Kong qualified lawyer with around 5 years of PQE in corporate and M&A.
• Hands-on experience driving high-value, complex transactions.
• Deep knowledge of Greater China's regulatory and legal landscape relevant to M&A, with international cross-border principles.
• Native/fluent English; Mandarin and Cantonese are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in leading and supporting complex M&A, PE, and VC transactions and corporate matters.
• Work closely with cross-border practice groups to deliver integrated legal solutions across jurisdictions.
• Participate in client networking, pitch preparation, and market visibility initiatives.

• Deep knowledge of Greater China's regulatory and legal landscape relevant to M&A, alongside a strong command of international cross-border transactional principles.
• Native/fluent English required; proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is highly advantageous.
