Job summary

OCBC in Hong Kong seeks an experienced regulatory reporting professional to monitor MAS/HKMA requirements, manage financial reporting and disclosures, and support senior management with timely, accurate analysis. You will ensure compliance, coordinate with stakeholders, and contribute to system enhancements and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in bank accounting/reporting, strong English/Chinese communication, and solid knowledge of HKMA/MAS regulations and accounting

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of MAS and HKMA reporting; SQL knowledge preferable.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in bank accounting/reporting, esp. HKMA rules & accounting standards.
• Communication, interpersonal & presentation skills in Chinese and English.
• Thorough knowledge of financial accounting principles and the bank’s accounting system, HKMA/MAS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with MAS and HKMA reporting requirements and disclosure notes.
• Analyze the bank’s financial performance and provide timely, accurate reports (HKMA Returns and Surveys).
• Handle Head Office reporting, local financial reporting and disclosures; prepare internal management reports and ad hoc reports.
• Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide updates on new regulatory changes to senior management; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in system enhancements and data quality improvement; support ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the bank’s financial performance, and provide timely and accurate reports:
• HKMA Returns and Surveys
• Head Office reporting, local financial reporting and disclosures of the Bank
• Internal management reports
• Other ad hoc reports
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
• Provide new reporting and regulatory changes update to senior management
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meeting all regulatory reporting requirements
• Implement system enhancement and data quality improvement
• Participate in ad hoc projects

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of MAS and HKMA reporting, knowledge of SQL is preferable
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in bank accounting/reporting or equivalent especially in HKMA Rules & accounting standards
• Communication, interpersonal & presentation skills in both Chinese and English
