Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd (HKEX) is seeking a seasoned Markets Systems professional in Hong Kong to design and deliver low-latency trading, market data dissemination and surveillance platforms for cash and derivatives markets. You will own end-to-end software delivery and collaborate with infrastructure, cyber security and business users to meet demanding market needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in system design and development for banking or financial services.
• Strong interest in technologies and ability to learn new tech quickly.
• Experience delivering projects with complex stakeholders.
• Experience in low latency and high throughput systems, resiliency and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for low latency system design and development of exchange trading and surveillance platforms for cash and derivatives markets.
• Collaborate with user divisions to define solutions based on business use cases.
• Take full ownership and accountability of project delivery.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Manage projects with complex stakeholders including internal, external parties and regulators.
• Assess technological risk and drive mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with technology teams on activities with common systems impacts.
• Drive technical excellence across the teams.

Job Summary

The Markets Systems team is responsible for delivering first-in-class systems for trading, market data dissemination and surveillance monitoring in cash and derivatives markets. We play a critical role in managing the full software development cycle, including architecture design, development, testing and implementation of our mission critical systems. We also partner with infrastructure and cyber security team to operate our systems in such fast growing financial markets in Hong Kong.
